A group of tenants in a south Dublin apartment complex who are fighting their fourth eviction notice in three years have called on the Housing Minister to help them stay in their homes.
Residents of St Helen’s Court in Dun Laoghaire claim the successive vulture funds that took over the ownership of the apartments since the original owner went into liquidation have been attempting to exploit loopholes in current residential tenancy legislation in order to force them out.
One of the tenants, Sean Mitchell, told Dublin Live the last three years have been extremely stressful for the occupants, many of whom have young families.
