Bewley's landlords hopeful it may reopen despite cafe closing for good in May – Dublin Live

The landlord of Bewley’s Cafe are hopeful the Grafton Street institution will reopen next Monday – despite the announcement in May that the Cafe was to close permanently.

A Bewley’s spokesperson told the Irish Times that there was “no further information” when asked if they would be reopening.

A note on the Bewley’s website reads the cafe will be closed “until further notice”.

But the same note also says “we hope to see each of you again when this has passed”, and there is optimism from inside landlords Ronan Group Real Estate, owned by developer Johnny Ronan, that the cafe could still reopen.

Ronan Group chief executive Rory Williams said: “Restaurant and café businesses across the country are putting in place the final preparations for reopening on June 29th.
