Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Green Party's plans for housing – The Times

Of the 126-page programme for government document, published by Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Green Party last week, six pages were dedicated to housing. This was substantially fewer than those given to health, reigniting the economy and the green new deal. Housing was one of the biggest factors in Sinn Fein’s election success, so one would have expected it to have been given equal prominence, even if we are coming out of an economy-paralysing pandemic.

There are some positives in the housing programme, especially the focus on everybody having “access to good-quality housing to purchase or rent at an affordable price”.
