A LANDLORD who rented two houses to students who threw boozy Covid parties with up to 100 pals attending during the pandemic was warned by a judge today to remedy the situation before returning to court next week.

Elderly residents, who have lived for decades on or near College Road in Cork city, told Cork District Court that they had not been able to sleep since the houses were rented and used as Covid party houses by drunken tenants who threw the doors open to their pals to join them.

They said the two properties owned by 80-year-old Fachtna O’Reilly, who has five rental properties in the area, at Highfield Avenue and Dunedin were scenes of extreme anti-social behaviour which kicked off at the end of May when the students moved in.
