Newly advertised Irish rent prices have continued to rise in spite of the coronavirus pandemic, a report has found.
The average rent for new properties advertised on Daft.ie, one of Ireland’s largest property websites, rose by an average of 1.2 per cent to €1,412 per month in the year to July.
Newly advertised rent prices in Dublin stood at an average of €2,030 per month, a 0.2 per cent increase compared with the same time in 2019.
The report also found that the housing market had proven “resilient”, with the average newly listed house price across the country standing at €259,733, virtually unchanged compared with a year ago.
