Housing Minister orders investigation into Phibsboro eviction – Dublin Live

Minister for Housing Darragh O’Brien has ordered an investigation into the shocking eviction of nine residents from a North Dublin home last week.

The tenants were forcibly evicted from their home in Phibsboro, and the home was shockingly trashed while they were left outside as images taken by Dublin Live show.

Damage included shattered windows, missing doors, smashed toilets, and busted walls.

And a resident in the home said that he and his wife were woken up to the sound of masked men smashing their front door open.

Gardai have launched a criminal damage investigation into the eviction, and will report on the ‘lessons learned’ from the incident.

And the Dublin Fingal TD has asked the Residential Tenancies Board to investigate the incident and report back “without delay”.
