Made In Dublin: How self-storage pioneers Nesta are coping with covid – Dublin Live

Back in 2017, Dublin firm Nesta brought home the title of Facility of the Year for its Santry site at the European Self Storage Awards – equivalent to Best Picture at the Oscars of the industry, as CEO Brian Hefferon tells me.

The award was the high point of what is now just over 30 years in business for the family firm, which was founded by Brian’s father Tom and his business partner Michael Kearns in 1989.

“It meant a lot,” he adds. “It means that you’re punching well above your weight; that there’s people in the UK, France and Germany with 100 locations that know who we are in Dublin.”

Now Brian runs the self-storage side of the business while Michael’s son Paul runs the document storage business, branded as Kefron.
