Minister orders investigation into Dublin eviction –

The Minister for Housing has ordered an investigation into an eviction of nine tenants from a property in Dublin last week.

Minister Darragh O’Brien has written to the Residential Tenancies Board expressing his concern about the treatment of the tenants at the property on Berkeley Road in Phibsborough.

In the letter, the Fianna Fáil TD asked that the full powers and resources of the RTB are brought to bear in the case. 

Mr O’Brien has requested that the board carry out an investigation to ensure the residents were treated fairly.

“I am deeply concerned about the treatment of the tenants concerned and want to ensure that they are treated fairly, respectfully and within the confines of protections provided in the Residential Tenancies Acts,” he said.
