If you scrambled to find a half-decent self-catering property to rent for your 2020 staycation, chances are that you thought about investing in a holiday property of your own.

ou wouldn’t be the only one. According to reports from estate agents, country properties, particularly those on the sea or near water, are experiencing a huge increase in demand.

But the desire to escape to the country has spilled over into the mobile home market too.

Bill Farrell of Harry Farrell & Sons, which sells new and second-hand mobile homes and operates seven mobile home parks around Ireland, says the summer of 2020 has been “off the charts”.
